Meet The Teams
Academics/Leadership Team
Cadets are tested on their skills and knowledge in Math, Science, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Current Events.
Each team competes at Level 1 and has the opportunity to work their way to the 4th level.
The Leadership team tests their skills and knowledge on the JROTC curriculum, which consists of:

If the team makes it into the final round, they will compete in Washington DC.
Colorguard Team
The color guard team consists of most highly skilled drill team members. They practice their routine to perfection while presenting Florida and American flags. Our Tiger Battalion JROTC Color Guard Teams earn many hours of community service by performing at school functions, such as;

Other special school and battalion occasions.

Community events such as the Veteran’s Day Recognition Ceremony, parades, Tampa Bay Rays' and Buccaneers' game and other gatherings.
Along with being on the Drill Team, when you be a part of the Color Guard, you may earn the Color Guard ribbon (N-3-6), an arch, and a White rope.
Drill Team
The Battalion Drill team is an exciting ceremonial extension of the discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills learned in class. The team performs at all inspections and ceremonies; is consisted of male, female, and mixed teams. The Drill Team is outstanding in creating a high state of discipline, maturity, moral, and distinct atmosphere within the JROTC program.
To be awarded the Drill Team ribbon (N-3-4) and an arch, the cadet must have attended practices and participated in at least one performance during the semester. Exceptions will be approved by the SAI/AI.
Rifle Team
All cadets are authorized to apply for Air Rifle Team at the beginning of each year. It is the smallest of our four competitive teams but is still very successful. It has two teams of five, the “A” team (varsity) and the “B” team (junior varsity). Cadets perform precision shooting from the standing, prone, and kneeling positions. Team members are made up of cadets who are chosen after elimination rounds that produce the top shooters. Each year we compete in county, district and state competitions, as well as various Junior Olympic Rifle meets.
Raider Team
The Raider Team push themselves to the limit, mentally and physically. Competition Events include: The Army Physical Fitness Test, Rope Bridge, Litter Carry, and the Obstacle course. They also are tested on their first aid knowledge. Chief Edmond leads their perseverance team with a Female, Male and Mixed Team. Raiders meet every Monday - Friday from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm.
Robotics Team
The JROTC Robotics competes in the VEX V5 competitions, They are given a new challenge annually and must design, build, program, and drive a robot to complete the challenge as best as they can.
